The Story of the "dignified Rabbit" Lamp
Hopping into the holiday weekend! In the early 1990’s at a porcelain factory named “McEnroe” in Morganton, NC, there was a talented sculpter named Judith. She was tasked with sculpting a rabbit lamp. She labored over the design for several weeks. When it was completed, another talented artist named Kelly Rowland applied the glazes bringing the rabbit to life. Fingers were crossed and breaths were held when the rabbit was put into the kiln to be fired. The firing was a success, and the rabbit traveled from Morganton to Rocky Mount, NC where it was assembled, and the “Dignified Rabbit Lamp” was born.
